| Event: Navy League Dinner, The annual dinner to recognize the new appointees to Navy, Kings Point and Coast Guard Academies is being held May 18, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado. Please join us to welcome the new Plebes and their families into the Maritime Family in Colorado. The Denver Council, Navy League of the United States along with the Acadmies' Colorado alumni associations sponsors this annual dinner. |
| Time: 1800-1900 Cocktails / Social hour commences at 6 PM, and dinner is at 7 PM. |
| Description:Guest of honor and speaker is 1955 Naval Academy graduate Dr. Fred McLaren, who was a distinguished submarine commanding officer during the Cold War. Dr. McLaren is a world renowned undersea explorer, and is President of the American Polar Society. His topic will be about his life in the deep sea and will include his experiences during expeditions to the Antarctic and the North Pole. Cost is $30 a person. Dinner choices are chicken, tenderloin beef, or vegetarian. |
